TEEN VIOLENCE
This event honors the memory of Baron P. “Deuce” Braswell II, a Courtland High School student who was murdered in a senseless act of teen violence. Let’s unite our families and our community to bring awareness to the issue of teen violence.
A COMBINATION EVENT
The run includes a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile fun run for kids 14 & under. Enjoy raffle prizes, guest speakers to provide dialogue on issues pertaining to teen violence, food, music, moon bounces and more. Come out and support a cause that is educational to our children and to adults.
AWARDS
The top three overall men and women finishers will receive cash prizes. First place finisher: $400, second place: $200, third place: $100. The top male and female finishers in the Masters (40+) group will receive a gift certificate valued at $75.
HELP FEED THE HUNGRY
Help the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank (FAFB) reach their goal of creating a hunger-free community. Bring a non-perishable food item or toiletries to either the packet pick up or to the race. All proceeds from this food drive will benefit the FAFB.
